TRANSFORMATIONAL RETREAT
You are invited to join two leading teachers in what will be a special opportunity over a weekend to learn from two great traditions, Yoga and Zen.
Your retreat guides are Paul Barton and Phil Shinko Squire. Paul is a qualified Iyengar Yoga teacher and Phil is authorised to teach in the Soto Zen tradition.
Life today dictates us to be quick, fast and efficient. We have human limitations which may not permit us to be fully attentive. Distractions inevitably lead us down wrong paths and perhaps strain our body or nerves/emotions leading to a reduction in health and conscious appreciation of life. When we practice awareness and attention we find we are able to maintain our presence and health.
This retreat will provide medically and time-proven ways to release the minds constant noise and body’s pains so we can concentrate and invest in what we choose to do with more ease and competency (full attention). We gain a greater sense of balance and physical control, feeling more grounded and physically alive.
Your guides on this inner journey co-teach in a flowing and integrated manner honouring each others chosen lineage. This retreat will include yoga, pranayama (breathing work), and meditation (in sitting, walking) and talks The retreat will be silent except for teaching times and organisation needs.
This is a chance to explore quietening and observing the mind and to use breath work to produce energised calm. In such work and associated calm mental process, we can see our attachments and mental tendencies more clearly and can emerge with a renewed sense of self and direction in life.

Glenn Ceresoli - Iyengar Yoga Live in Retreat Feb 2009- Tauhara Centre
Taupo, February 5 - 15 or , 2009. The Last three days are optional fo rteacher training "The Yoga Mind" Cultivating
Constant Integrated Awareness This live in retreat will focus
on practice to create a yogic mind in life (and in practice).
This is the heart of learning and the process of living the
yogic state. Glenn is a senior certificated Iyengar Yoga teacher
currently living in Australia. He asserts to teach in a way
that connects you to the core of who you are and shows ways
to keep you anchored in that knowledge, in that experience,
in day to day life. Glenn hopes that people will find through
yoga that aspect of Self that will guide them through anything
- whether that path appears right, wrong or indifferent to
the outer world. Following ones heart can mean deviation at
times from the rules of the world. We all want inner composure
and contentment in the face of adversities, the trick is to
be able to create this. This live in retreat will be a valuable
experience for committed Iyengar Yoga students. Prepayment
of a Deposit for the Retreat is essential. Contact Paul Barton,

Yoga Direction
The pace of life today dictates some lifestyles
that can urge us to be quick, fast and efficient.
This
is true, at our work place, and also at home, at schools and in social
contexts. However much we try, we still have human limitations and past
certain limits, our resources may not permit us to be fully attentive to so
many areas.
This can lead us to
distractions and as a consequence, we may commit errors and perhaps strain
our body or nerves/emotions leading to a reduction in health and conscious
appreciation of life. Unless we identify and take care of this early it
might lead us to a point of difficult return.
This is where a discipline like
yoga helps, when we understand and utilize its
whole dimension. Yoga helps us to be alert to situations in front of us and
within us, and provided a whole range of tools to face activities
effectively. As we progress in
yoga,
yoga philosophy and clarity
around correct methodology become more important.
Through
personal integration of these
yoga
methods we can refresh our system, become more alert and eventually find
right balance within our day to day situations, activities and creativity.
This workshop will provide medically proven ways to
release the minds constant noise and body’s pains so we can concentrate and
invest in what we choose to do with more ease and competency (full
attention). We gain a greater sense of balance and physical control,
feeling more grounded and physically alive.
Taking
more control of our health and well-being is very invigorating and
empowering; it does not have to take a lot of time for busy folks it is
about being more attentive and disciplined to a short practice to move us
towards greater wellness.
This retreat
will include
yoga, pranayama (breathing work), and meditation (in sitting,
walking and in
yoga poses).
The retreat will be silent except for teaching
times and organisation needs.
This is a
chance to explore quietening and observing the mind and to use breath work
to produce energised calm. In such work and associated calm mental process,
we can see our attachments and mental tendencies more clearly and can
emerge with a renewed sense of self and direction in life.

register and pay in full. Please register with Paul or Madhu providing
